Derian congratulates Aoun, hopes swift cabinet formation

Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian, contacted on Tuesday President Michel Aoun and congratulated him over assuming the presidency post, wishing him success in his mission.

The Mufti hoped that “the Cabinet will be formed swiftly as the country can’t tolerate additional delay.”

He called on the Lebanese to support the new president.

The Mufti thanked former Prime Minister, Saad Hariri, and all the Lebanese leaderships for the exerted efforts in a bid to achieve the presidential deadline.
