President of the Lebanese Republic, General Michel Aoun, said that Lebanon “will rise again, there are signals of improvement, the state will return strong, Lebanon will return to be the first financial, economic and ethical center in the East. I will work on protecting the state interests and preserving the rights of citizens in Beirut and all Lebanese cities and villages.”
President Aoun’s stances came Thursday upon his meetings that were political and developmental. He began his meetings with a delegation of Greek Catholic Higher Council chaired by Caretaker Tourism Minister Michel Pheraon.
President Aoun said that he would respond to the invitations received from many countries to visit them.
Aoun also received head of Beirut municipal council Jamal Itani and a delegation of Progressive Socialist Party headed by secretary general of said party Zafer Nasser.
He also received a delegation of the Evangelical Church and others.
