REPORT: EDL contract workers stage fresh sit-in

Electricite du Liban (EDL) contract workers staged on Monday a sit-in outside the Ministry of Energy to protest state’s failure to give them full-time tenure.

A number of workers headed to the Ministry of Energy on the Emile Lahoud Boulevard in Metn to prevent Minister of Energy Cesar Abi Khalil from entering his office.

The contract workers burnt tires, causing suffocating traffic.
