After criticizing the way PM Saad Hariri was treated by “some Saudi circles”, in the Saudi Arabia, the Druze and Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat encouraged Saturday the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to initiate talks with Iran to counter any imminent war, and urged for a settlement in Yemen.
Jumblatt also condemned Iranian “dictates”, an apparent response to a statement by the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards this week that disarming of the Lebanese resistance, Hezbollah, was out of the question.
“As Lebanese disapproved the unaccustomed way that Sheikh Saad was dealt with by some Saudi circles, we reject this Iranian diktat from Mohammad Ali Jafari, commander of the Revolutionary Guards,” Jumblatt tweeted.
