Speaker Nabih Berri asserted on Sunday that an important meeting will take place Sunday night to reach a common ground over the electoral law based on proportionality away from sectarianism and will tackle the women and migrants’ rights as well.
According to NNa news, Mr. Berri made this statement over the phone, for Amal partisans in a gathering held at the German capital Berlin. He urged the entire Amal cadre to remain united as sons of Amal Movement.In addition, the tonight news said that they will be no legislative session tomorrow May 15.
Parliamentary elections were scheduled to take place between 21 May and June 21, however the political deadlock is expected to delay polls beyond June.
