During the honoring ceremony of the 10 martyr soldiers at the Defense Ministry in Yarzeh, on Friday, President Aoun declared them “honor field martyrs.” He vowed before their families to honor their sons’ blood by achieving all goals and unveiling all truth.
“This is another national juncture in our history, where we stand proudly in front of the bodies of our martyrs. We bow to their sacrifices and the sacrifices of their comrades who preceded them along the path of martyrdom to liberate their homeland with their blood and fortify the safety of our nation and the future of our children,” said President Aoun.
The President also noted that “the martyrs stood in 2014 on the defense lines of Lebanon and faced the danger with determination and faith. Our martyrs are a source of pride to their families and homeland.”
“We do not deserve our homeland if we are not prepared to preserve it through martyrdom,” President Aoun asserted.
Addressing the crowd and the families of the martyr soldiers at Yarzeh, President Michel Aoun vowed to keep the blood of their children his “responsibility until the accomplishment of the goals they died for; until the discovery of the truth.”
“The medals I have placed on your coffins are a token of love and gratitude from all the Lebanese for your sacrifices… With your martyrdom, the medals grow and the nation grows.”
