(Pics & Videos) New Year’s Eve in Downtown Beirut New York Style! Beirut Ranks 7 Worldwide!

Lebanon was ready to welcome the New Year 2018 in Downtown Beirut, matching the likes of New York’s Times Square. For the first time in years, all Lebanese watched the countdown and celebrated in Downtown Beirut, for free.

The New Year’s Eve in Downtown Beirut was prepared and put together by Beirut Municipality, which invited all the Lebanese to celebrate the end of the year with the party of the year, at “Nejmeh Square”.

The event started at 6 PM with an amazing mix of DJs, singers, dancers and entertainers and of course all kinds of Lebanese food. Beirut was already ranked 7th among the top 10 cities in the world to celebrate a festive New Year.

CNN posted a picture of Downtown Beirut, while “Designlimitededition.com” website wrote: “Each New Year is a promise that everything will be better in the capital of the formerly war-torn Lebanon. Thousands gathered to watch the light show on the city’s 1933 art deco clock tower in Nejmeh Square, the heart of central Beirut. At midnight, couples kissed and fireworks burst, shining over a mix of floodlit church steeples and mosque minarets in this eclectic Levantine metropolis.”

Congratulations Lebanon!

Happy New Year!
