The new director general of Lebanon’s national telecom operator, Mr. Imad Kreidieh announced two days ago, the new reduced DSL’s prices, however with no change in speed.
The users, who are in favor of a cheapest DSL offer, were a bit disappointed by the announcement. To them a DSL connection is virtually useless if its speeds remain unchanged. (Slow)
It is to be noted that Mr. Imad Kreidieh, held a live Q&A on Facebook April 6, 2017 after he took the lead of Ogero. Among his announcements was a plan on introducing a faster, cheaper, unlimited Internet access, and larger quotas.
However, Kreidieh did say that the internet will not be able to reach super fast speeds until the infrastructure is changed.
The changes in price were implemented immediately.
They are as follows:
– 2Mbps unlimited 60,000 LBP (instead of 75,000 LBP)
– 4Mbps 40GB 24,000 LBP
– 50GB open speed 30,000 LBP (instead of 50,000 LBP)
– 100GB open speed 45,000 LBP
– 150GB open speed 60,000 LBP
– 200GB open speed 75,000 LBP
– HDSL 100GB 100,000LBP (Instead of 80GB & 100,000 LBP)
