Hezbollah Secretary General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, said on Thursday in a video call that the position of President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, and the resistance environment alongside the army were the factors that deter Israel.
Hezbollah chief’s fresh stance came during a commemoration ceremony held in honor of martyrs leaders’ memory, notably Abbas Moussawi, Sheikh Ragheb Harb and Imad Moughnieh, in presence of Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohammad Fateh Ali, Syrian Ambassador Ali Abdel Karim Ali, as well as other leaders, scholars, and figures.
Sayyed Nasrallah underscored that Israeli articles and estimations were nothing but intimidation against Lebanon.
“We’ve been hearing this since 2006 war; however, Lebanese and residents in Lebanon shall look at security and safety reigning in Lebanon,” Nasrallah pointed out, adding that Trump may permit Israel to wage war on Lebanon but “this image is not clear yet.”
Nevertheless, he said that political conditions were always available for Israel to carry on a war on Lebanon under an American cover as well as an Arabic one.
He called upon Israel to empty the ammonium tank in Haifa and to dismantle the Dimona nuclear plant in the Negev.
“I ask media outlets to go to the south and see the walls being constructed by Israel as well as their plans to protect their settlements in northern occupied Palestine…,” he added.
Touching on the issue of judaisation in the occupied Palestine, in Jerusalem and in the West Bank, the trend to build housing units and to transfer the US embassy to Jerusalem as well as the US abandonment of two state solution, Nasrallah said that “this does not concern the resistance, but all of this means the death of a negotiating track.”
He criticized the absence of values in Arab regimes and their affiliates, praising President Aoun’s words at the Arab League regarding the hazard that constitutes Israel.
Addressing Palestinians, he praised individual operations carried out by Palestinian youths against the enemy in the Intifada in Jerusalem, confirming that “the region will not remain as it is, America too.”
“The region has changed, projects are crumbling and falling. From the heart of the suffering are born generations that will achieve victories and will change the facet of the region.”
Hezbollah Secretary General concluded by addressing martyrs commanders: “We are staying here to face all these projects that target our nation and our future, whether Israel, ISIS or takfiri groups. The victory will be achieved on the Saudi-American-Israeli project which is called Daesh.”
