Minister of Economy and Trade, Raed Khoury visited south Lebanon on Saturday. He stopped in Sidon where he met its mayor and expressed his deep connection with the beautiful village. Minister Khoury also deplored the security situation that is currently afflicting the “Ain el Helwe” Palestinian camp.
Lebanese newspapers reported Saturday morning that a tense atmosphere continued to reign over the Palestinian camp, following a night of intense clashes that left two dead.
From the Serail of Sidon, Khoury revealed that discussions would take place concerning the electoral law during Monday’s cabinet session. He concluded by saying that although he remains optimistic, he does not hold high hopes that any consensus would be reached on Monday.
