Lebanese Forces MP Georges Adwan expressed optimism Tuesday in terms of the presidential elections.
“The upcoming days will witness a positive development regarding the power vacuum,” Adwan said in a tweet.
Political leaders are waiting for former Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s final word on whether he would back his rival head of Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun for the presidency.
Hariri has been conducting high-level consultations with local and international actors in an effort to end the two-and-a-half-year-long presidential crisis.
