President of the Lebanese Republic, General Michel Aoun, confirmed the necessity to accomplish a new electoral law coming as a result of Lebanese consensus and able to ensure fair, true popular representation, and the necessity to approve on the new budget and refer it to the Parliament as soon as possible.
President Aoun on Wednesday received Public Finance Minister, Ali Hasan Khalil, and discussed with him local financial affairs.
Afterwards, the President received MP Mohammad Raad who conveyed to his host the salutations of Hezbollah leader Sayyid Hasan Nasrallah to the President after his latest “sovereign positions” towards the resistance. “He is the one who expresses sovereign stances in a good way.”
Aoun received Economy and Trade Minister, Raed Khoury, and discussed with him the economic situation, most notably 2017 budget.
