Mr. Alain Aoun, the deputy of the Change and Reform bloc said during an interview with “Nharkom Said” on LBC TV that nothing has changed so far concerning the electoral law but an agreement on a new law must be reached before May 15.
Mr. Aoun asserted that Prime Minister Saad Hariri is working positively in order to facilitate the drafting of a new voting law, and that Hezbollah is leaning toward approving the qualification vote law. “All these positive positions can facilitate an agreement on a new electoral law,” Aoun concluded.
On the same level, the deputy head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, Sheikh Ali Daamoush, announced on Monday that his party is “open to all choices” regarding the electoral law.
