Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bechara Boutros Rahi, hailed on Sunday recent military and security administrative nominations, deeming them successful.
In his homily during the Sunday mass held in Bkerki, the prelate wished the appointments would continue to establish a state of institutions that would put an end to corruption, impose law, control chaos and demand accountability.
The Patriarch said that the Lebanese people were waiting for a new electoral law, based on true parity and fair representation.
Rahi called for the approval of a budget that stopped waste and misappropriation of public funds, rather than imposed more taxes on people already suffering from the socio-economic situation.
