Patterson winds up visit to Lebanon, bounds for Riyadh

US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, Anne Patterson, left Beirut on Friday afternoon heading to Riyadh, winding up a few-day visit to Lebanon where she held talks with senior Lebanese officials.

During her visit, Patterson underlined the US continual support to Lebanon, and relayed a letter from US Secretary of State John Kerry to President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun.

Patterson also inspected a Syrian refugee camp in the Bekaa district close to Zahle.

Bidding her farewell at Rafic Hariri International Airport has been US Ambassador to Lebanon, Elizabeth Richard.
