Lebanese PM Saad Hariri is expected to appear tonight at 8:30, in the first televised interview from Saudi Arabia since announcing his resignation on November 4. The interview will be conducted by the political talk show host at Hariri’s Future TV channel, Paula Yacoubian.
Since the news emerged that Yacoubian was bound for Saudi Arabia, local media outlets have reported that the Future TV crew had been prevented from accompanying the presenter on the assignment. Yacoubian said that Hariri had contacted her while she was headed to Abu Dhabi and added that she will interview Hariri through the Future TV network. However, and since the news emerged that Yacoubian was bound for Saudi Arabia, local media outlets have reported that the Future TV crew had been prevented from accompanying the presenter on the assignment.
Challenging speculation that Yacoubian’s production team was denied entry to Saudi Arabia, Future TV political news director, Nadim Koteich, said “it is easier logistically for Saudi Arabia to provide everything needed to conduct the interview.”
