NNA – Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea categorically stressed that we shall have a “100% Made in Lebanon” president.
“We are witnessing historic moments even if not satisfactory to all people,” Geagea said on Wednesday during a conference on “Enhancing Transparency in Oil and Gas sector in Lebanon” in Meerab.
The LF Leader pointed out that a great deal has been realized at the level of the presidential elections, especially that there was a veto and a big decision to block its accomplishment.
“Some Lebanese refuse to believe that we have a national will.. Some countries today do not want elections in Lebanon, but once certain political forces have reached an agreement amongst each other, they managed to hold ‘Made in Lebanon’ presidential elections,” remarked Geagea.
On the gas and oil issue, Geagea deemed today’s symposium “as part of a series of other steps to be undertaken in order to avoid any likely flaw or irregularities to be taking place in oil dossier in Lebanon.”
“Our natural wealth is the human power which should be braced with economic capabilities, underlining that no one shall be allowed to tamper with this natural wealth, whether an ally or opponent.
“According to preliminary estimates, if such a wealth is properly managed, a sum of 60 or 70 billion dollars would be secured to the Lebanese state’s Fund,” Geagea said.
