NNA – FPM leader, Minister of Foreign Affairs Gebran Bassil, accompanied by Minister of Education and Higher Learning, Elias Bou Saab, laid a wreath on the martyrs monument in the town of Hadat on the occasion of October 13, in the presence of Baabda MPs Hikmat Dib, Naji Gharios and Alain Aoun and a crowd of dignitaries and partisans, amid tight security measures.
Bassil delivered a speech in which he said “October 13 is engraved in our memory because, unlike how some described it as a nightmare for Lebanon, we see it as life and resurrection of the homeland.”
“October 13 is engraved in our hearts, because there are martyrs who had the privilege of sacrifice, and today we utter loyalty to their sacrifice,” he said
“We will strive to revive Lebanon and the pact, because without the pact the country would not exist,” Bassil pledged.
