NNA – Bahraini King Hamad Bin Issa Al Khalifa congratulated, in a cable on Monday, newly elected Lebanese President Michel Aoun, on his election.
“This step will contribute to anchoring security and preserving the Lebanese state institutions, as well as protecting them from foreign interventions that negatively affect the headway of stability and progress,” Bahrain News Agency (BNA) quoted the King as saying in his cable.
It added that the King also hailed all the Lebanese political forces for advocating the nation’s best interest.
He also confirmed Bahrain’s unwavering position and support for Lebanon’s stability and security, indicating his country’s looking forward to promoting the fraternal ties with the Lebanese republic.
