NNA – Turkey’s Ambassador to Lebanon, Cagatay Erciyes, stated that “Lebanon shall restore its vital role the region,” as he toured the area of al-Minnieh in Akkar on Saturday.
The Turkish diplomat considered the election of a President of the Republic and the formation of a new government as clear indications that Lebanon will take up the torch, thus fulfilling its axial role in the region.
“Lebanon’s stability and security denote the stability and security of Turkey,” Erciyes underscored.
He concluded by promising to “seek the twinning of Minnieh municipality with one of the Turkish municipalities, in line with the twinning plans of Dinnieh Municipalities Union.”
