Minister of Information, Melhem Riachy, maintained on Monday that the reconciliation inked at Maarab between the Lebanese Forces and Free Patriotic Movement was “eternal” and that “we need to immunize it.”
“There is no return backwards; the past page was forever turned, even if we do not agree in politics regarding certain matters,” Riachy said.
The Minister made these remarks during a meeting held in Majdelioun with LF officials in the region.
In response to a question, Riachy said that the salary scale would be endorsed and that the legislative polls would take place according to a new election law “that will see the light.”
