Lebanon indicts 11 suspects over terror links

BEIRUT: Military Investigative Judge Fadi Sawan indicted Thursday 10 Syrians and a Lebanese over multiple charges including links to Islamist militant groups,  Al-Nusra Front and the Islamic State.

Sawan charged Mohammad Abdallah and six other Syrian nationals for having links with Al-Nusra Front as well as fighting against the Syrian army in their home country while Muayed Ahmad Al Waw and Kamal al-Khali were accused of joining the Islamic State group (IS) and fighting against the Lebanese army in the northeastern border village of Arsal.

Wael Amouriyeh and Manal Abdel Aziz were also charged with committing acts of terrorism while Lebanese national Mohammad Husseini was charged with having links to the Nusra Front militant group and fighting against the Lebanese army in the Bab al-Tebbaneh neighborhood of Tripoli.
