President Michel Aoun stressed that Lebanese will rise again; adding that the state will regain its power and Lebanon will restore its status the first economic, financial and ethical center in the east.
Aoun noted he is keen on maintaining Lebanon’s interests and the citizens’ rights and needs, pointing out that he will meet the invitations he received from many Arab countries in terms of mutual respect.
On another note, Aoun met with a delegation from the Greek Catholic Supreme Council headed by Minister Michel Faraon.
“With Aoun as president, the Taef Accord will be duly respected and the political life in the country will be reactivated,” Faraon stated.
For his part, the president stressed the importance of the border towns, reiterating the need to respect the laws, the National Pact and partnership.
