Lebanese President Michel Aoun: “No Extension, No old Law and No Political Vacuum.”

“No one should even dream of having the parliament’s mandate extended, to stick to the already existing electoral law, or to even allow a state of political vacuum to prevail,” the President of the Republic, Michel Aoun said in front of a delegation of Upper Maten on Thursday.

He added that all the existing national obstacles in front of electoral law would soon be thrashed out, and recalled that he already pledged that in his oath and that the ministerial council had gained the trust of the Parliament on this basis.

The President concluded by promising a state of global nationalism equivalent to successful Lebanese national unity.
