President Michel Aoun received on Wednesday more congratulatory cables from Arab and world presidents and leaders.
Russian President Vladimir Putin cabled Aoun and congratulated him on assuming his new presidential post.
Putin stressed that Russia “supports Lebanon and its stability”.
President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, congratulated Aoun and wished the latter “success in his new mission”.
Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan congratulated Aoun as well.
Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, congratulated Aoun and “wished him success”.
President Aoun received a congratulatory telegram from the Cypriot President, Nicos Anastasiades.
Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, Alexandria and Jerusalem for Melkite Catholics Gregory III Laham, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East for Greek Orthodox John X congratulated Aoun.
