(Update) Deryan visits Akar villages

NNA – Grand Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdulateef Deryan, began on Sunday a tour of Akar villages, with the first leg of his visit being the town of Abdeh.

The Mufti was greeted by a popular reception and was met by Mayor of Akar, Imad Labki and other prominent figures.

“Akar and its people are in our hearts and at the heart of Dar al Fatwa,” said the Mufti.

Deryan then stopped at Bourj al Arab and continued on with his trip to Berkayel to place the cornerstone for a major educational project and inaugurate the opening of a hospital in Hrar.

In Berkayel, Deryan addressed gatherers asserting that his full support was for the project of a strong, fair and capable State.

“We wish [PM-designate] Saad Hariri the best of luck in forming a new Cabinet, and we support him in forming a new and inclusive government capable of elevating Lebanon from the crises it suffers from…and we hope that this path begins from the heart of beloved Akar.”

Deryan promised that Akar would not endure depravation anymore.

“We are with balanced growth, but priority should be for deprived areas, such as Akar.”
