NNA – Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Rai congratulated on Saturday Prime Minister-Designate Saad Hariri over the phone on his designation to form the new cabinet and on the confidence that the MPs gave him.
The pair discussed the developments over the domestic scene and his Beatitude wished Hariri best luck in forming a cabinet capable of confronting the challenges that the country is facing.
His Beatitude hoped the new President together with the upcoming cabinet would be able to boost the Lebanese economy and limit the Lebanese youth immigration.
Rai wished the new cabinet would be soon formed, noting that it has ” grave security, social, economic and political challenges.”
Rai hoped the upcoming stage would to be marked with cooperation and solidarity between all the Lebanese– officials and citizens– to restore Lebanon’s distinguish position and role in the region.
