NNA – Maronite Patriarch Cardinal, Bechara Boutros Rahi, called on Sunday, in his homily in Bkerki, for the formation of a new government in accordance with the National Pact and before the commemoration of Independence Day.
The prelate said that Lebanese people aspire for the formation of a new government of national unity, which gathers all parties and shares responsibilities.
He also reiterated his prayers for the cessation of wars in Middle East countries, notably in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Palestine, and to reach political solutions to the conflicts in order to allow the return of refugees to their respective motherlands.
