Pope Francis Condemns Aleppo’s Bomb Blast

The Holy Father Pope Francis

The leader of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis condemned on Sunday a bomb blast on a crowded Syrian bus outside Aleppo… The attack killed at least 112 people and was described by the Holy Father as an “ignoble” attack.

According to Reuters the Holy Father Pope Francis made the condemnation during his Easter Sunday message to tens of thousands of people in St. Peter’s Square:
“Yesterday’s was the latest ignoble attack on fleeing refugees,” the Holy Father said.

“May (God) in a particular way sustain the efforts of those who are actively working to bring healing and comfort to the civilian population of Syria, the beloved and martyred Syria, who are victims of a war that does not cease to sow horror and death.”

The Bombing struck several buses carrying Shiite people from two villages in Syria’s northwestern province of Idlib, as they were waiting to enter the city of Aleppo.
