President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, received on Wednesday afternoon at Baabda Palace Head of Finance and Budget House Committee MP Ibrahim Kanaan, whereby they discussed the overall situation in the country.
Talks majorly touched on the financial realities at the legislation and control levels, in light of the ongoing deliberations over the fight against corruption and strengthening monitoring process.
MP Kenaan pointed out that priority is to pass a transparent budget which sets a ceiling for expenditures and bolsters state revenues, as pronounced by President Aoun in his speech before the Council of Ministers today.
