Lebanese forces (LF) leader, Samir Geagea, said on Friday that the country “needs an efficient and productive government able to take quick decisions,” describing his relation with the House Speaker, Nabih Berri, as “friendly.”
Geagea’s words came during his meeting with a press delegation in the presence of a big number of his advisors.
LF leader stressed that the political action started with the election of a head of state restored hope to Lebanese.
He reiterated that the President of the Republic was made in Lebanon without any foreign intervention as “the countries of the world are concerned about their businesses.”
He said that “the government must be formed as soon as possible.”
In response to a question, he said that he did not regret the entente with FPM, saying that it will be valid in the forthcoming parliamentary elections.
“A productive government is required. We utterly reject and won’t accept any ill, manipulative performance regarding the oil issue, which is a national wealth,” he pointed out.
Geagea reassured that the security situation in Lebanon “is better than the situation in other countries in the Middle East,” adding that Lebanon in presence of the Lebanese Army “is not under threat.”
“We salute the military operation carried out today by the Lebanese Army in Arsal,” he concluded.
