President of the Lebanese Republic, General Michel Aoun, said, “The political battle nowadays is in favor of accomplishing a change and the bedrock of this battle is the electoral law. We will exert our utmost efforts to achieve our aim which is reaching a fair popular representation for all Lebanese at the Parliament away from any unfair law prone to disregard the minorities of confessions.”
President Aoun’s stance came Tuesday as he received a delegation of the National Gathering headed by former Minister Abdul Rahim Mourad, at Baabda Presidential Palace.
The President reassured that there was big possibility for approving a new electoral law soon.
Among Baabda’s visitors had been former Minister Fady Abboud and former Minister Jihad Azour.
