President Michel Aoun met on Wednesday at Baabda palace with MENA region Director at the World Bank, Ferid Belhaj, in presence of Head of the Finance and Budget House committee, MP Ibrahim Kanaan.
The pair reportedly discussed the means to ensure the development of infrastructure and make reforms in administrations and projects concerning Lebanon.
“For the World Bank, Lebanon is a priority, especially after the president election and the government formation,” Belhaj told reporters following the meeting.
“The WB is interested in the state budget’s reforms as per the recommendations issued by the Finance and Budget House committee,” he said.
