The second day of the Lebanese Armed Forces “Fajr al-Jouroud” operation saw advances against ISIS as the army recaptured several hilltops on the outskirts of Ras Baalbeck and al-Qaa.

The army liberated Jabal Al-Kheshin from the grip of the terrorists while the engineering units worked on clearing the land of mines left behind by ISIL.
According to the NNA news, three army soldiers were killed and another one still in critical condition when a landmine destroyed their armed vehicle near Arsal’s mountains.
Furthermore, Army commander Joseph Aoun visited the military deployed in the region, and followed the ongoing operation. It is to be noted that the terrorists are relying on explosive devices and mines to block the military’s progress, but to no avail.
