Hujjat al-Islam Nabil Qawouq criticized the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia’s remarks against the Iranian people and said that takfir against Muslims is the official policy of Saudi Arabia.
Hujjat al-Islam Nabil Qawouq, the deputy chief of Hezbollah’s executive council, stated that Saudi Arabia is the main cause of the problems in Lebanon and said, “Saudi Arabia is responsible for the current presidential crisis in Lebanon and they want to chose the president in order to continue the crisis in the country.”
The Lebanese cleric said the worst problem that Muslims face is not the suicide bombings and the killing of hundreds and thousands of people committed by Daesh but rather it is the fatwas issued by Takfiri clerics that are heard every day in various countries.
He referred to the insult made by Abdul-Aziz ibn Abdullah Al ash-Shaykh, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, against the Iranian people and said, “Referring to Iranian Muslims as ‘fire worshipers’ and ‘infidels,’ is the true and official position of the Saudi regime and demonstrates that their policy of takfir [considering others as a non-believer], is the official policy of Saudi Arabia.”
Hujjat al-Islam Qawouq said that the Saudi regime provides material support and arms to Takfiri groups in Syria is busy fighting a war against Yemen. “How can a country that kills innocent civilians in Yemen welcome Hajj pilgrims? The Ka’bah is deeply upset over Saudi Arabia’s issuing of Takfiri fatwas,” he said.
He described Saudi Arabia’s war against Yemen as a “great mistake” and said the House of Saud is increasingly facing defeat today and added that despite the storm of fire and destruction that Saudi Arabia has inflicted on Yemen, Saudi Arabia has been hit by Yemeni missiles.
The senior Hezbollah official said the Saudi regime has launched a war against Syria and that naming this war a “peaceful revolution” and a “military war” are in vain because it is clear to everyone that the war has been launched directly by Saudi Arabia through the use of Takfiri mercenaries.
Hujjat al-Islam Qawouq referred to Saudi Arabia’s efforts to prolong the war in Syria and added that all of their goals against Syria have failed because they have sought to overthrow the role of the Islamic Resistance in Syria but Syria is still at the forefront of the Resistance Axis.
