Syrian Arab Army’s rocket battalion, alongside Hezbollah, carried out a successful ambush against a group of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front) fighters that were attempting to cross into Syria from Lebanon.
According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army and Hezbollah fired several ATGMs (anti-tank guided missile) at the encroaching terrorists, killing a large number of militants near the Jaroud Jarajeer crossing; Almasdarnews reported.
The missile attack proved successful, as the remaining militants that were not killed by the surprise assault had frantically retreated across the border to the ‘Arsal Municipality of the Beqa’a Governorate.
Due to the recent infiltration of several militant groups in the Qalamoun Mountains of rural Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army and Hezbollah have stepped up their military operations near the Lebanese border-crossing; this has allowed them to obstruct the flow of terrorists into Syria.
