The Spanish ambassador to Lebanon Milagros Hernando organized a ceremony in honor of renowned Lebanese singer Majida Roumi and presented her with the decoration of the Order of Civil Merit bestowed upon her by King of Spain Felipe VI.
The ceremony was attended by a crowd of political figures and ranking dignitaries.
Hernando deemed this decoration a sign of appreciation of “Roumi’s real values reflected in her songs and her social deeds, as well as in her aspiration for peace, her eagerness for challenge and her respect for women’s rights and obligations.”
