NNA – Maronite patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Rai confirmed that “Lebanon is in danger because of the grave divisions and clashes amid failure to elect a new president and the prevailing vacuum,” NNA correspondent said on Saturday.
His Beatitude’s words came during his visit to Saint Peter and Paul Church in Jebbet Al-Mneitra region in Jbeil district, pointing out that the prevailing vacuum disrupted the work of both the Parliament and the cabinet.
The Patriarch called upon the political officials to shoulder their responsibilities and work to save the country, noting that his visit to the region at this time aimed at voicing the need to protect Aakoura land and commons.
