Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon, Ali bin Hamad al-Marri, deemed the forthcoming visit by Lebanese President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, to the State of Qatar upcoming Wednesday as “historic” embodying the depth of the brotherly ties between the two leaderships and reflecting Qatar’s unyielding stance in support of Lebanon’s stability, security and agreement amongst the various Lebanese spectrum of society.
“This visit installs a new phase of deeply entrenched relations between the two countries,” Ambassador al-Marri said, branding President Aoun’s Gulf visit as an occasion which will secure a suitable, conducive environment for robustly moving forward towards best Lebanese-Gulf relations.
al-Marri also pointed out that “the Lebanese Qatari summit forms a good occasion to discuss the prospects of relations between Doha and Beirut and means of enhancing them in all fields, notably at the political and economic levels in a bid to achieve common interests between the two brotherly peoples.”
