NNA – Vice Prime Minister, Health Minister, Ghassan Hasbani, and Information Minister, Melhem Riachy, visited Rabieh on Tuesday, delegated by Lebanese Forces Leader, Samir Geagea.
The pair took part in the Change and Reform Parliamentary bloc’s weekly meeting, and met with bloc leader, Gebran Bassil, in presence of MPs Ibrahim Kanaan and Alain Aoun.
In the wake of the meeting, Minister Riachy said that the meeting had been an opportunity to express partnership with the Free Patriotic Movement, and to confirm the need to jointly move against any scenario that leads to the extension of the House of Parliament’s mandate.
Both sides saw eye-to-on on the substantial need to reach an agreement on a new electoral law that would elect an authority that represents the real components of the Lebanese people, not mention based on equity and practicality.
As for the Lebanese Forces’ participation in the forthcoming legislative session, Riachy said that the coming few hours would determine the LF’s next move in solidarity with the FPM.
