DNA Proves the Sad Truth…Friday is a National Day of Mourning!

PM Saad Hariri issued a memorandum proclaiming Friday September 8, 2017 a day of national mourning for the martyr soldiers and It reads:

A national day of mourning is proclaimed for the souls of the army martyrs who fell in the Battle of Honor, “Fajer-el-Jouroud”, and for the souls of the army martyrs who fell earlier and were officially announced as deceased.

Accordingly:

-Friday, September 8, 2017 is a national day of mourning.

-All state administrations and municipalities will close on Friday, September 8, 2017.

-Flags will be flown at half-mast over all state administrations and municipalities and over all Lebanese embassies abroad.

-Television and radio programs will be adjusted in accordance with the painful events.

-The Lebanese will observe five minutes of silence at 10:00 am wherever they are, as a Lebanese national and comprehensive expression in support of our brave army in its national battles against terrorism and terrorists and in solidarity with the families of the martyrs and wounded.

This official memorandum was issued, on Wednesday, following the visit of the fallen soldiers’ parents to the Commander in Chief of the Lebanese Armed Forces General Joseph Aoun, who officially informed them that the DNA tests results proved the eight remains belong to their loved ones.

General Aoun met with the families at his office in the presence of the Government Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Sakr Sakr, and the specialized doctor who supervised the DNA tests.

According to the NNA news, the official funeral will be held on Friday, which was declared a national day of mourning, September 8 at the Ministry of Defense in Yarzeh.
