Under the High Patronage of His Excellency President of the Republic of Lebanon, General Michel Aoun, the Lebanese American University Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine, is holding its Third International Conference on Medical Education on March 24 & 25, 2017, at the Hilton Metropolitan Hotel in Beirut and the LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury Health Sciences Center in Byblos, Lebanon.
The program will include hands-on experience through workshops and roundtables led by world-renowned professionals from Australia, Denmark, France, Germany, the United States and other leading countries in medical education.
The theme of the conference is Simulation for Education and Patient Safety and its objectives include:
– Addressing current challenges and innovations in Simulation-Based Medical Education
– Promoting interprofessional collaboration practices with the purpose of ensuring patient safety
– Encouraging networking among educators in simulation and health-related professions.
This regional conference targets all educators in the health professions, hospital management & quality improvement personnel, biomedical scientists, physicians, residents, medical students, nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists, dentists, insurance companies, and bankers.
The conference’s rich program will cover topics such as Simulation &Interprofessional Collaboration, Patient Safety, Art of Debriefing & Feedback, Building a Simulation Center, the Use of Standardized Patients, Hybrid Simulation, Moulage and Makeup and Technology for Simulation.
