While Russian President Vladimir Putin told Netanyahu at their talks in Sochi last Wednesday that “Israel is also an important partner for Russia in the region,” he stressed that “Iran is Russia’s strategic ally in the Middle East” and declined to abandon Russia’s alliance with the Islamic Republic, Pravda reported Friday.
President Putin stressed, during his meeting with the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in Moscow, that the main ally of Russian in Syria and the entire Middle East will remains Iran, much to the dismay of the Israeli government.
In light of this news , the Times of Israel reported that while Russia views Israel as a friend, “it is not up to Tel Aviv to teach the Kremlin how to structure Russia’s policy in the Middle East.”
Tel Aviv is very frustrated and Netanyahu was panicked during his meeting with Putin, Al-Manar news reported Friday.
