London terrorist attacker was identified by the Scotland Yard, the Sun News reported. Khalid Masood, a 52-year-old body-building obsessed dad-of-three, is an English teacher who was seduced by ISIS and converted to Islam. In addition, Prime Minister Theresa May revealed earlier that MI5 intelligence chiefs had previously investigated Masood but dismissed him as a “peripheral figure”.
What happened on Wednesday?
A policeman was stabbed, an assailant was shot and about 40 people were injured on Wednesday night near Britain’s Houses of Parliament in what the police said they were treating as a terrorist attack, after a car sped across Westminster Bridge and crashed the barriers just outside the British Houses Parliament.
Prime Minister Theresa May told the Telegraph News that “the location of this attack was not an accident. The terrorist chose to strike at the heart of our capital city, where people of all nationalities, religions and cultures come together to celebrate the values of liberty, democracy and freedom of speech. Any attempt to defeat those values through violence was “doomed to failure”, May concluded.
