Macron invites President Aoun to visit France.

French President Emmanuel Macron said Tuesday that he extended an invitation to the Lebanese President Michel Aoun to visit France.

In a speech at the annual meeting of France’s ambassadors to the world Macron “confirmed France commitment to the countries that are experiencing divisions and tensions in the region.” and added, “Lebanon, which endures a critical situation, faces difficulties with great courage and sense of responsibility.”

Macron also said that he would visit Lebanon next spring as part of a tour to the Middle East
