Kanaan in wake of legislative session: Electoral law paramount to mend representation

NNA – Change and Reform Parliamentary bloc MP Ibrahim Kanaan said in the wake of this evening’s legislative session that the electoral law was an essential factor to rectify representation and recover trust in the political regime.

“The legislative session was very fruitful, and we have been quick to respond in favor of national interest,” Kanaan said following the session, pledging to follow up on developments en route to the election of a new President.

“A presidential election session has been set on the 31st of October. There’s an initiative that’s been taking a positive course. A constitutional president means opening the door before reform via an electoral law that respects the constitution,” the lawmaker added
