ARMY COMMANDER BREAKS GROUND ON COMMANDO REGIMENT BARRACKS IN MEZYARA

Lebanese Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun, on Friday broke ground on a commando regiment barracks in Mezyara, in the presence of Lebanese Consul to Sera lion, Donald Al-Abed, who offered the Lebanese Army a financial grant to help build the barracks.

After watching an army maneuver with live ammunition, the Army Commander lauded the army’s “readiness and professionalism, as well as its outstanding combat performance and determination to carry out missions in difficult conditions and across rough terrain.”

General Aoun went on to say that the love of the Lebanese was the secret to the Army’s strength.

“We are responsible towards the Lebanese people, and we promise that we will be up to the love of our people. Your support for us is envied by the rest of the world, especially during battles against terrorist organizations,” he added.
