Aoun in front of hemophilia patients and health care associations: State is concerned with delivering care to patients with chronic diseases

NNA – President of the Republic Michel Aoun said that the state is concerned with delivering care to patients suffering from chronic diseases, first and foremost those with hemophilia, and providing them with the necessary treatment.

President Aoun’s words came during his reception at Baabda Palace on Thursday afternoon patients suffering from hemophilia and associations concerned with them and their medical doctors, on the occasion of the International Hemophilia Day which falls on Monday, annually marked by Lebanon with 134 national associations affiliated with the World Federation of “Hemophilia”.

Aoun said that he shall demand from the concerned health authorities, both inside and outside Lebanon, to assist in providing the necessary treatment for the young and adult Hemophilia patients, after a thorough survey of the number of these patients and their cases to provide the appropriate treatment.

The President highlighted “the importance of awareness and prevention, as well as to facilitate the integration of people afflicted with the disease in communities so as to alleviate their suffering.”
